
The County Assembly Speaker Hon (QS) Joel Maina Kairu led the committee of Agriculture in touring the Pyrethrum processing company of Kenya limited –PPCK which is located in Nakuru town west.
The team met with the acting company managing director Mr. Paul Lolwerkoi who said the PPCK has cleared all outstanding debts amounting to Sh70 million.
Lolwerkoi said that the trunk of money was recently released to the company by the National government.
Recently, the Nakuru county assembly passed Sh29 million in the supplementary budget to be used to boost pyrethrum, avocado and macadamia growing across the county.
The county assembly will ensure additional funding for the agriculture sector in line with the Maputo declaration.
