The Assembly whose key mandate is legislation, representation and oversight has played a critical role in promoting democracy and good governance. This has seen the House pass six Bills this year. The House has passed the Nakuru County Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2019. During a special sitting on Monday, the house approved a net additional funding of Sh.373 million. The move means the county would now budget with Sh 21.75 billion from the initial Sh.21.37 billion as passed in the county’s budget for the financial year 2019/20.
THE Assembly has passed the Nakuru County Trade Bill 2019 to spearhead promotion, development of the local economic and private sector. Once accented to, the bill will help regulate and promote the development in the trade sector. “Trade and Promotion development will be done by carrying out business profiling within the county, reviewing policies and practices

House adjourns
